DMD Lab II Project I: UCONN DMD 2023 MFA Exhibition

The main tools that served as the foundation of each of these posters were the gradient tool, the shape/shape builder tools, and the freehand brush tool. The gradient tool, however, is the true foundation of the first and third poster, creating the skies that determined the aesthetic and "time of day" each of the posters took place in. The shapes and the shape builder tool serve as the base of each design, and the freehand tools (specifically the brush and eraser tool) layer on details that complete each design as needed.
While the second poster, the Apple Maps mimic as I like to call it, is simpler compared to the other two posters, the animation (which consisted of many elements moving and their opacity changing) adds a level of complexity that makes the poster truly act like Apple Maps, something unique that makes this poster stand out from the other two in a better way.
